Caesar salad

Brown the chicken in a Teflon pan, seasoned with salt and pepper.

Melt the butter and grease the slices of bread, then cut into cubes and put in the oven for 15 ′, turning from time to time.

Meanwhile, the Ranch dressing room is being prepared. Mix the cream with the milk, then add the salt, pepper and garlic. At the end, add finely chopped green onions. We really like tzatziki, so sometimes we put fresh finely chopped cucumbers. Add the chopped parsley.

Place the broken lettuce with your hands on a plate. Sprinkle the croutons and grilled chicken on top, and place the dressing on top.

This salad is by far my favorite. It's worth it, because it's easy to make, it's nutritious and it's easy.


Caesar salad with chicken

The appetite of Caesar salad, prepared by a culinary specialist, has become more satisfying due to the fact that the chicken has been added to its composition.

The delicate poultry meat goes well with the overall taste of the dish.

Chicken has become one of the main ingredients of Caesar's traditional recipe.

What is needed for cooking:

  • 100-200 gr. lettuce
  • 200 gr. chicken meat
  • 50 gr. parmesan
  • 50 gr. White bread.

For Caesar, all salad varieties that do not have a characteristic bright taste are suitable.

You can use varieties of cabbage Romano, Iceberg, Latuk, Batavia, Chinese and Beijing.

The lettuce leaves are washed with running water, then dried.

After the salad dries, spread it with your hands, then send it in a salad bowl or on a large plate (depending on your desire).

Chicken fillet can be made independently, separating the chicken breast from the bones, or you can buy ready-made meat, without bone.

Then, the fillet is cut into sticks and heat treated.

The meat can be cooked in lightly salted water, chopped or fried in a pan.

Put the finished chicken on the salad.

Then fill the mixture with a bandage and let it soak.

At this point, fry the white biscuits in a pan or dry in the oven.

When they become crispy on the outside and stay soft on the inside & # 8211 they are ready.

Add a handful of biscuits to the bowl.

We add gas stations in front of them, so that the crotons are not wet.

Cut the cheese on a coarse root, sprinkle the Parmesan cheese with chicken slices.

Pour the sauce over them and serve immediately.

Ingredient:

- sos Caesar
- 200 g boneless chicken breast
- a salad head, broken into strips
- 2 tomatoes, cut into quarters or eighths
- a quarter cup of grated Parmesan cheese

Ingredients for Caesar sauce:

- 6 tablespoons of light mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
- a tablespoon and a half of water
- a teaspoon and a half of anchovy paste
- 3 large cloves of garlic, crushed
- a teaspoon of dried oregano
- half a teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper

To prepare the & quotinfam & quot sauce, mix all the ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl with a fork, making sure they & quotleg & quoted well. Put a third of the sauce aside.

To start preparing Caesar salad, heat the grill and cook the chicken. Let it fry for 2-3 minutes on each side or until it is ready, frequently greasing with the Caesar sauce set aside so that all the flavors combine from the grill. Allow to cool and then slice.

Mix the chicken, the rest of the fabulous sauce, the salad and the tomatoes in a large bowl, carefully, to cover all the ingredients. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese in abundance and get ready for a Romanian delicacy: o Caesar salad a la. Caesar!


Caesar salad. Light. Reinterpreted

My first meeting with Caesar salad was in America in the summer of 2014. I was there with a student program (Work & ampTravel) and I was working in a restaurant. Everyone ordered the famous salad, everyone who came to the place wanted to eat it: "A Caesar salad, please!" I heard it quite often. I ate it there with them, but I didn't like it. And I ate it here in Romania in a restaurant, I still didn't like it. That was until I realized that the dressing was actually to blame (for my tastes).

Of course, as I like to reinterpret recipes, to make them in a healthier way, I also prepared the salad at home, I tried to include as many of the ingredients of the original recipe as possible and to exclude those that are not exactly to my liking. my. Honestly, I only reinterpreted the dressing, but I still kept that sour hue of the sauce.

The original recipe doesn't have chicken, but I didn't want to miss the protein on the plate, so I put a piece of chicken breast cooked in the oven.

Here's what came out!

INGREDIENTS
Romanian salad or iceberg (I bought a bag of ready-cut Romanian salad)

Chicken breast (for one portion I used half of the chicken breast)
Chicken spices: salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder (to taste)

A few slices of wholemeal bread / wholemeal crouton toast (see my recipe for wholemeal bread croutons)

For the dressing: Greek yogurt, juice of half a lemon, 1 clove of garlic, 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt and pepper (to taste)

** Those who know the original recipe for this salad, will notice from the start that it is a much lighter version precisely by excluding those ingredients from the dressing. The classic recipe also has: mustard, egg yolk, vinegar and Worcester sauce.

*** Also, if you want, you can eat the salad without chicken, just like the original recipe. This option to introduce chicken breast is just my choice.

PREPARATION

Season the chicken breast with a little salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Pput the marinated chicken breast in the preheated oven at 180 ° C for 25-30 minutes. Turn it over and over halfway through to cook evenly.

Light dressing for caesar salad

in a bowl put 1 box of 150 gr. Greek yogurt, juice of half a lemon, 1 clove grated garlic, 2 tablespoons olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper (to taste). Mix well and leave it in the fridge while the chicken is cooking.

Meanwhile, prepare the croutons. See the recipe for croutons step by step HERE.

Tip: in the last 5-7 minutes of cooking the chicken breast you can add the croutons in the same pan in which the chicken is cooked to save time. Don't forget to turn the croutons on one side and on the other and be careful not to burn them!

Put 2 hands full of Romana or Iceberg lettuce in a bowl, 2 tablespoons of the previously prepared dressing, mix, then put the chicken breast over the salad, which you can cut into cubes, or in any shape you want . Add a few croutons, without which this salad would not make sense and sprinkle a little grated Parmesan cheese on top.
