Childhood cakes & pies

What joy there was when our mother made us POMACE!
When he had flour, because he was at the quota before the Revolution and if he found yeast, he would quickly make some cakes. He fried them in oil and we ate them plain, sprinkled with sugar, or with jam, with cheese, with what we had. & # 128578 Grandma made them baked on the stove and they seemed even better. Knead the dough and leave it to us, the copchii to play with the guillotine, to bake & agravel & agravei on the stove. Long ago, so simple and clean & hellip

I do them from time to time, too rarely as my family reproaches me. The truth is that they are delicious and I can't help but eat them too, so I rarely do. In my area they are called cakes, in other places they are called pies or langos, but no matter how they are called, they are delicious. & # 128578 I like to do all kinds of dough, croissants, bread, buns, rolls, cakes, pretzels and other goodies, recipes that you can find grouped here, in Pastry, bread.

I better write to you recipe to POMACE or pies. 🙂

Homemade chocolate - ingredients and preparation

From the ingredients below you will get a 20 × 30 cm tray with homemade chocolate, about two fingers thick:

  • 100 grams of butter 82% fat
  • 250 grams of milk powder
  • 400-450 grams of caster sugar
  • 40 grams of cocoa
  • 2 coats of walnut kernel (you can replace with pistachios, peanuts, hazelnuts, cashews, almonds, cranberries)
  • 100 milliliters of water

Method of preparation:

Sift through the milk powder and cocoa.

Put the water, sugar and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Leave it on the fire for another 5 minutes, then set aside the pan and pour the powdered milk mixture with cocoa.

Mix well until you get a homogeneous cream.

Line the tray with baking paper and pour the cream evenly.

Sprinkle coarsely chopped walnut kernels on top. You can "drop" some of the nuts from the height, to get deeper into the chocolate, and others below, to stay on the surface. This way you will have walnuts in all the thickness of the chocolate.

Allow the chocolate to cool for at least 4 hours, then slice it with a long, wide-bladed knife.

Homemade chocolate lasts very well in the refrigerator and does not change its texture, taste, even after 7-10 days.

Childhood dessert: Homemade chocolate with walnuts & # 8211 Delicious and easy to prepare

Cristina Popescu

Homemade chocolate with powdered milk, with walnuts, a dessert wonder that reminds us of childhood, when we only had a recipe book.

It is a simple dessert, made of six ingredients, if we take water into account. And the preparation method is so simple that even a child can handle it without problems.

Place two slices of bread on the work surface. Each with 2-1 / 2 slices of American cheese. On top, with the remaining slices of bread to make sandwiches. Spread the butter sandwiches outside.

Heat a frying pan or pan over medium heat.

Put sandwiches on the pan and cover them with a pan lid. It is important to cover the sandwiches while they are cooking, so that the cheese melts when bread is needed to get brown.

Bake for 2-3 minutes or until the bread is golden brown on the first side. Carefully remove the sandwiches using a large spatula, cover again and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on the other side until the cheese melts and the bread is well browned and crispy. Serve the sandwiches immediately.

Wash the apples, peel them, peel and seed them, grate them and drain them well. Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm milk. Stir in the egg, salt, vanilla sugar, then grated apples. Put the flour and start kneading until you get a homogeneous dough. Cover the pot with a towel and leave to rise for an hour.

On the table sprinkled with flour, shape the dough so that the donuts have the shape of rings, with a diameter of 5-6 cm. Let them rise again for 15-20 minutes. Fry them in an oil bath and take them out on paper towels. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Milk shells & # 8211 childhood dessert. While the pasta is boiling

On a day when your craving for sweets haunts you, but you don't feel like wasting time with complicated dessert recipes, this dessert is ideal.

It is easy, quick to prepare and you don't even need someone who knows sophisticated ingredients. Shells, milk, sugar, vanilla and a pinch of salt - that's all!

Find out below the quantities and how to prepare milk shells!

Milk shell recipe - ingredients, preparation

Ingredient:

  • 150 grams of shells (or bows, feathers, snails, etc.)
  • 700 milliliters of sweet milk at least 3.5% fat
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 3-4 sachets of vanilla sugar
  • a pinch of salt

Method of preparation:

Fill a pot with 2 liters of water, add salt powder and bring to a boil. When the water boils, put the shells and let them boil for about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally so that the pasta doesn't stick to the pot.

When the pasta has boiled, drain it with a sieve. Pour them back into the pot in which they boiled, add the hot milk, sugar and vanilla sugar and mix. Let it simmer for another 10 minutes, until the milk thickens a little and the shells "borrow" from the flavors.

Don't be fooled by their volume - even if they seem to puddle in too much milk, the shells will swell even after you stop the fire.

Serve hot or, even better, cold, from the fridge - these milk shells will taste even better. Good appetite!

When I was little, in Haifa, the time to go out and eat in nature was much longer than it is now. But because the picnics started in Romania as well, I remembered the beautiful days, when we left with the whole family for breakfast and returned home in the evening, at sunset.

We left in the morning, around 8-9 and my mother prepared everything for the whole day. I had a big basket in which I put the ready-made dishes and put them in plastic pans and I even started with breakfast for which my mother made omelette with cheese and tomatoes and fresh bread. Also for the first part of the day, he also prepared seasonal fruits and a kind of puff pastry pastries, which he filled with either chocolate, jam or even sweet cheese with raisins.

I always had rosatta to drink, a kind of syrup made from almonds, which I diluted with water and left the evening bottles in the fridge, so that it would only be good in the morning. Almonds are boiled with sugar for 5-6 hours, to be a very strong concentration. From this syrup put a spoon to a glass of water in which I also put mint.

For lunch, in other boxes, my mother prepared schnitzel and potato meatballs. Everything cold, to be easy to eat at a picnic. He also made a dish of yellow bean pods, with garlic and olive oil. Everything is very simple, without hard sauces to eat. I also had fresh vegetables, but also pickled vegetables. The hot pickled pepper was delicious! Or other times he didn't make the schnitzels, but the beef steak, cooked leisurely in the oven the day before, left to cool and then cut into thin slices. As an alternative to potato meatballs, my mother also prepared pumpkin meatballs with dill. Separately there was also a remoulade sauce most often. I had a refrigerator to keep everything fresh until the evening.

For sweets, my mother brought drier, more durable cakes, such as makroudh or cheabakia.

My mother and father also had a bottle of wine and we all sat relaxed, it was a day of peace and play for all of us.

Here is a list of 3 very common cooking myths, fought on cranked.com.

Who doesn't like Easter? A lot of people consume them and a lot of people cook them. Plus it's not complicated: boil water, throw the pasta and, in other words, pour a little oil so it doesn't stick together. You're wrong! At the general school chemistry lessons, we all learned that water and oil don't really love each other, so they don't really influence them. In addition to the fact that they will stick together if you boil them too much, the pasta cooked with oil will no longer properly absorb the sauce prepared for them. And it would be a shame for all the work to prepare them.

Lies - childhood dessert

Lies, that dessert that reminds us of childhood, is great when you feel like something sweet and not at all complicated to obtain. They are, in fact, unleavened and ungrown donuts, crunchy, browned in oil and powdered with sugar. They are also a cheap dish and & icircndem & acircnă, which is made from a few ingredients.

  • 1/2 kg of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 100 ml of lukewarm water
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • frying oil
  • powdered sugar for serving

Sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Make a hole in the middle and add the beaten eggs, sugar and vanilla and water. Mix well with a wooden spoon, then knead the dough by hand.

Knead until the flour is incorporated and the dough is no longer sticky. Let the dough sit for 10-15 minutes.

To form the lies, spread the dough on the work surface on which you sprinkled flour. Spread a thin sheet with a rolling pin. Cut into rectangles and make a hole with the knife in the middle.

Knot the dough by passing a corner through that hole. Put the fried lies in the oil bath. Leave until golden brown, then remove on paper towels.
