Everybody knows a bottle of booze is the perfect holiday party gift. Fear no more! For innovation studio Deeplocal has created the Blizten Roof Hootch — a trusty beverage chiller for the roof of your car.

According to Blitzen’s product description, it can hold anything from bubbly Veuve Clicquot to a growler full of IPA. The precious cargo is then secured to the vehicles’ roof via 100 pound magnets, aluminum rails, and what looks like the strap on a rollerblade. It works on any car “except for your non-magnetic Tesla. Thanks a lot, Elon,” and features natural cooling. So as long as it’s cold outside, your beverage should be nice and frosty by the time you reach your destination.


“Cooling time depends on ambient temperature, car speed, and a whole lot of other factors that some of our engineers here spent way too much time calculating,” Deeplocal said on its website. “The same goes for lateral G force and speed calculations. It was like a flashback to Calc 2.”

Blitzen inventor and lead engineer Matthew Pegula told The Daily Meal there's no set price or launch date for the product right now, but "based on the amount of signups we're getting on the site, we are exploring our options for getting it out asap."

While it’s unclear at this time whether Blizten was named after one of Santa’s reindeer, it’s no doubt this clever invention will help deliver boozy holiday gifts to all good girls and boys. On your way to the party, feast your twinkling eyes upon the best Christmas light displays in every state!

Have you heard me yakkin about the FASTer Way yet? I can’t stop talking about it, but when you find something that works and that you’re enthusiastic about, that’s a common side effect I guess! Here’s my story.

When Merritt was about 3 weeks old, I knew I wanted to start taking control of my health, my fitness and reclaim my body PERMANENTLY for the first time in 8 years. Stockton and I are done having children, so truly for the first time in our married life, I felt like I could make some changes for good that would LAST instead of continuing to lose weight only to get pregnant and gain it all back. I had my eye on this FASTer Way program, knowing only that it incorporated Intermittent Fasting and Carb Cycling, but what in the world is carb cycling anyway? I thought I could finagle the program myself and try to figure it out on my own, but I needed to be educated, so (again, for the first time in my life) I decided to make a financial investment in a program that claimed to be so amazing. Well, it is. I’ve paid for gym memberships, wasting upwards of $100/month and gaining nothing in return. FINALLY my money spent on healthy & fitness was giving me a return on my investment.

This program, as I mentioned, uses Carb Cycling and Intermittent Fasting to help our bodies operate optimally. As women, we need carbohydrates but so many programs on the market have convinced us that carbs are the enemy and as a result, we suffer from adrenal fatigue, hormonal imbalances, thyroid conditions, high blood pressure, and more. The fitness industry has actually conditioned us to try new fad diets as they come around only to experience short term results with potentially long-term damage, SO THAT we will try the NEXT program that promises to fix the problems the first program created. So I decided to see if THIS program would truly be the one that worked, and let me tell you what I gained (in my first 6 weeks alone):

  • immeasurable knowledge about how food and macronutrients work to fuel our bodies (both the good and the bad)
  • coach-led training on tracking macronutrients specifically calibrated to my current fitness level and my goals
  • small group accountability where I met and interacted with 30-ish women under the leadership and guidance of 3 coaches who provided counsel, recipes, daily check-in’s, live video training, a full catalog of workouts, etc.
  • I lost 13″ and 11 pounds in those first 6 weeks, placing me just 7 pounds above my pre-baby weight by 10 weeks post-partum.
  • I reduced my blood pressure medication (down 6x from where I was following delivery!)

And since photos speak louder than any of my words combined, here is my before and after from my first round where I focused 90% on nutrition and only worked out a few times:

The accountability and nutritional education were the two elements I could not go at alone. Without a doubt, this program has become my new norm and I am over the moon excited to share it with whomever I can (I’m an enneagram 3, I can’t help but share what I love with everyone I can!).
